Lord, rest on me! That is my prayer this week. That is my prayer for each and every person this blog reaches and is intended to reach. God is so good and there is truly nothing like His presence. There is truly nothing like His goodness and His mercy. There is a song that says, "He is good. He is kind. I have never seen Your kind." Who can we say is like the Lord? Who loves us unconditionally and forgives us beyond what we believe is unforgivable. Hallelujah! Thank You, Lord!
God desires us. He wants us. He created us just for Himself. My prayer is "Lord, let our desire meet Your desire to please You and for You to rest on us. Rest on our hearts just like the dew rest on the grass." The Word says daily will I seek thee; so I declare, "we will seek the Lord. We will live for God. We will strive to become better and leave bitterness, anger, depression, worry, and anxiety at the feet of Jesus. We cast down every stronghold intended to destroy us and keep us off track in the name of Jesus Christ." Sure, we miss the mark sometimes, but our desire and need for God will allow us to rest in His mercy and grace.
When His desire for us collide with our desire for His presence to dwell with us...what a life we will begin to live. When we decide to walk after His Word and to trust His Word, oh what a peace and joy that will consume us. His Word says in Psalms 63:1 says "O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thristeth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thristy land, where no water is;" Hallelujah! Even in the darkest of days, God desires us; He wants us to meet His desire. He has given us all we need to thrive in this life. Let's acknowledge those things and seek after them that we may rest in Him...that He may rest upon our hearts and strengthen us through everything we must face.
I will leave you all with this scripture that says, (James 4:8) "Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." Again, God desires us and wants us to draw nigh to Him. He will meet us there! He is waiting for us. All glory be to God for His patience for His beloved creation. And...it is in HIS presence that we can cleanse our hands of our sins and that our hearts can be purified. As He rest on our hearts, as the dew on the grass, our minds will be regulated. God will be pleased with us! Lord, we want you to be pleased with us that You may grant us favor and mercy with You. ...in Jesus' Name. Amen
