The Encourager: Overlooked, But Seen

Updated: Jan 18, 2023

We will begin with this proclamation: You may be overlooked by people, but God hasn't forgotten about you! Believe it!

You are always on God's mind because He has chosen you. He has touched your mind and pricked your heart to receive Him. Please don't think it is a normal thing to receive the gift of knowing who God is. In this world there are many and will remain so many that will never accept Jesus Christ in their heart. There will be many whom God doesn't touch to hear and see and understand the gospel of Jesus Christ. There will be many who remain lost. But...this day we want to thank God for looking toward our mistakes and sending a Savior to redeem us back to Him. Sin was winning, but God said not so! Hallelujah! Jesus Christ came down from His throne in heaven to walk this earth like us; He wrapped Himself in flesh and went through hell so that we may be saved from hell! Hallelujah!

So in this life we will rub elbows with people that will overlook us, but we cannot focus on them and allow them to diminish our confidence in God. We have to remember that God still sees us. When we focus on the cross, and on what Jesus did for us we understand that if God did that for us, He will carry us to heights that will cause those who regard us not to see the glory of God in our lives. So as the scripture says, pray for those who treat you badly. Pray for those who despise you. pray for those who use you. pray for those who trample over you. pray for those who despise you. We won't allow another person to run us down and run us away from the will of God.. We will not choose to appease people, but we will choose to live a life that pleases God. We will choose God as He has so graciously chosen us. We will sit in the meek(humble) seat and raise us a praise for His goodness and mercy. We will sit in that long-suffering(patience) seat and lift up a war cry in the midst of our struggles. we will not allow people to make us feel less than because we don't taste right on their palette. To be preferred by people is nice, but we cannot get caught up in people. We have to get caught up in the will of God and pleasing Him, above all else. Hallelujah.

So today, I encourage you to shift your focus from being accepted by people. Shift your focus from being preferred by people. Shift your focus from being chosen by people. Let's focus on putting God first. Let's focus on seeking Him first. Let's focus on pleasing God above people. If we shoot to please God first, we are going to please those around us that count.

Matthew 23:12 says, "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted." James 4:10 says, "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up." If we live a life submitted to God, the fact that we are overlooked, intentionally or not, won't even matter. God will show them and He will show us! Hallelujah! In due time God will prove to you that you have favor with Him and man. Our enemies will be our footstools; the scripture says that too! Our enemies will be a bridge to help us cross over. Trust God. Don't worry about how God will use those who are trying to keep you down, pray for them and keep living for God.

I thank God that I am specific and special to Him. I thank God that He has chosen me and each of you! Stay the course! Keep the faith. Remain honest. You will see the goodness of the Lord. I declare that you will see the manifestation of His Word over your life! Do not give up on an able, dependable, and consistent God!

🙌Amen🙌
