This week, I would like you to join me for a short prayer. We are still resting in the Heart of Thanksgiving because God has been and is so good.
Let us pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus,
God, we thank You for another day. Thank You for the opportunity to love You and honor You and to repent for the things we've done. God, we come with a broken and contrite heart because we know You will not turn away from it. God, we are sorry for every disappointment and every intentional thing we've done.
God, we also come with a heart that is rejoicing because You have already forgiven us. God, thank You! Thank You for seeing us. Thank You for loving us. Thank You for caring so deeply for us. Thank You for never turning your back on us. Thank You for blessing us and holding true to Your promises.
We come to You this morning with a true heart of thanksgiving and our mouths filled with praise. Because we know that we are so undeserving of Your goodness and mercy. This morning, as we start this day, we say thank You. We say that You are good. …that You are merciful. …that You are kind…that You are beautiful. …that Your ways are perfect. …that You are the God that doesn't make a mistake. Thank You!
Lead and us and guide us today, as we continue to trust in You. Guide us this week, as we lean on Your unchanging Word. God, You are just and righteous; You don't make any mistakes. We rest in that; we believe that. We only want to please You…with our conversation, thoughts, and deeds. Help us! We can't do it without Your strength, love, and grace.
You are mighty! You are awesome! You are everything we need in this life. So, we hold onto Your Word and to Your ability. You are our God and there is none other that can save us, heal us, deliver us, and set us free. You are the matchless King, and we praise You!
We give You all glory, honor, and praise!
